Shedding blades were developed for the equestrian market for shedding loose and unwanted hair. Ancol's Ergo Shedding Blade is especially useful for wire-haired dogs and some breeds with short smooth hair and a thick undercoat. The shedding blade should be drawn down the coat in the direction of the hair followed by a brush or a hand groom.
